Grace graduated from Sydney University with a Bachelor of Laws in 1983 and worked for over 10 years as a corporate lawyer in both Australia and the UK.

In 1994, Grace commenced her studies in the field of counseling in addictions and group facilitation. She is an Honors graduate in this field winning the AICA Jules Chevalier Award for the student considered the most promising counselor and the George and Janet Wilson Award for academic excellence. She was also the recipient of a scholarship to train at the Betty Ford Center, Palm Springs. Grace subsequently completed an internship in the treatment of co-dependency and other addictions at the Meadows, in Arizona.

Grace completed her Masters in Psychology in San Francisco, USA. She has brought these skills into her practice as an executive coach, life coach, group facilitator and seminar leader.

Trish Kelly

Trish Kelly, Foundation Member

Trish is an experienced leader, change manager and facilitator with over 30 years’ experience in the public sector, working in very large organisations in both regional and central office roles.

Through her experience as the General Manager Human Resources for 8 years in the NSW Department of Education and Communities, the largest organisation in the southern hemisphere, Trish is well equipped to work with executives, aspiring leaders and others to support and guide them to achieve their goals and to maximise their performance and impact.

Throughout her career as a senior leader in the NSW Public Service Trish was an innovator and reformer with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and the development of strategic partnerships to drive change and reform, and to develop and nurture a culture of continuous improvement. She has extensive experience in developing, mentoring and coaching staff and is a skilled presenter, facilitator and communicator.

Trish has a strong commitment to and a proven track record in leadership development, in supporting people to develop and achieve their career goals, and in working with individuals and groups to enhance their performance. She has mentored and coached executives and aspiring leaders in large Government agencies, and she has worked with people individually and facilitated groups of people to assist them to identify and pursue their career aspirations. Trish has also worked with executives to drive the implementation of significant organisational and cultural changes.

In all her assignments Trish takes a client focussed approach to her work and is passionate about and gains great satisfaction from supporting her clients to pursue and realise their goals.

In the 2013 Australia Day Honours Trish was awarded the Public Service Medal for outstanding public service in NSW as the General Manager, Human Resources in the Department of Education and Communities.

Catherine Burrows

Catherine Burrows, Co-founder

Catherine is a senior business leader and a co-founder of Executive Coach Exchange.

She is the CEO and owner of Innoverum independent consulting, an executive coaching and consulting business. She began her working life as a teacher of English to adult migrants and brings a sound adult education philosophy to her coaching practice.

Catherine has worked as a coach with leaders and aspiring leaders in a range of organisations including various NSW government agencies, local government, an NGO, and leading tertiary education providers, both TAFE and university. She specialises in effective communication, strategic development and leading organisational change.

Catherine also undertakes pro bono mentoring for aspiring female leaders.

Before founding Innoverum and Executive Coach Exchange, Catherine was Executive Director TAFE Strategy and Finance, effectively the COO of TAFE NSW. She focused on increasing the efficiency of TAFE NSW while improving outcomes for students and enhancing TAFE’s position in the marketplace. She worked with the Board to achieve significant governance reforms and had overall responsibility for TAFE NSW’s $1.8 billion budget. Working for two Education Ministers gave Catherine a profound understanding of the operation of government.

In 2013, Catherine was asked to join a group of top innovators in NSW Government. In 2014, Catherine was awarded the Department of Education Service Medal and the prestigious TAFE Medal, which is awarded only occasionally to senior TAFE staff who have made a particularly significant contribution to TAFE NSW.

In addition to her education qualifications, Catherine’s doctorate examined staff responses to change in an educational setting. She has completed SMG Coaching Level 1, is an accredited Hogan Assessor and is qualified to administer and interpret the Hogan 360° multi-rater feedback tool. Catherine completed TAFE Western’s innovative training program The Maliyan Experience (Stage 2) in 2015.
