Glenn is an executive coach and facilitator who specialises in working with the legal profession. He has over 25 years’ experience working in Sydney, Tokyo, Paris, Geneva and New York in large law firms, multinational corporations and the public sector as a senior commercial lawyer.
Glenn is typically asked to work with high performance lawyers or legal teams who want to improve their performance and productivity. He regularly works with lawyers who have just been promoted or who want to make a career transition. He also works with lawyers experiencing performance or relational difficulties and those seeking to return to work after a period of leave, illness or incapacity.
A focus of his recent work has been on helping lawyers to build their inner resilience and wellbeing particularly in the face of increased change and complexity in the workplace. He also works with leaders in the legal profession to examine and address the institutional and cultural causes of stress and declining levels of wellbeing in the profession.
Glenn believes that leadership for lawyers is broader than the usual approaches to leadership. Legal leaders also need to consider professional ethics and the unique duties placed on them by the court and by society as a whole.
Glenn brings a strong evidence-based approach to his work backed by hands-on experience in working with lawyers across the whole profession. He is an Adjunct Lecturer at the College of Law and the University of Sydney Law Extension Committee. He also runs Mental Health First Aid courses for lawyers and facilitates peer support groups for people living with drug and alcohol addictions.
